What if I need someone to pick up my child other than myself?Only the parent or legal guardian is authorized to pick-up the child. In the case of an emergency SEMSA will contact the listed emergency contact.

What is the cancellation refund policy?There is a 14 day cancellation fee administered that is 50 percent the purchase price of our Summer Camps and 25 percent of our Academy. All sales are final 7 days prior to the event.

How are players grouped at the summer camp?Players are grouped by age and skill level.

Am I required to be there during the summer camp?Parents are not required to be present during each day of the summer camp, and are allowed to be a spectator. If parents choose to drop child off, he or she must be accessible via phone and have an emergency contact on file.

What safety measures are in place for my child?Coaches are required to be safe sport and C.P.R certified before coaching. In addition, campus police will be present along with cleared security personnel. A paramedic will also be on staff for medical emergencies.

What time should I arrive to camp?Parents and players should arrive by 8:30am to check-in and drop-off. Pick up is at 1:20pm. Failure to arrive by the required pick-up time will result in a $15.00 late fee per every five minutes past the indicated pick-up time.

What all do I need to bring to camp?Players must come with soccer cleats, soccer flats or tennis shoes, shin guards, socks, shorts and T-shirt. Players will also be given an official SEMSA camp T-shirt upon check-in. Water, and soccer equipment will be provided by SEMSA. Players can bring their lunch or select to have SEMSA provide lunch.

My child will not turn six by the camp dates. Can they still participate?Players can join the camp at five if they will be turning six before Sept. 1st. If your child is the player ready and willing to compete, there are exceptions.

My child turns 14 before the camp date. Can they still participate.If your child turns 14 before the 1st of January 2025, he or she will be ineligible.

When is the deadline to register for the camp?The final deadline to register for the camp is May 31st, 2025.

What is your refund policy for the futsal clinics?Please contact us if you or your party has any questions or concerns. All payments are final upon submission. Should there be any discrepancies involving payments, cancellations, or postponement, SEMSA reserves the right to review, request payment, post-pone, and make any suitable changes necessary for the operations of the given clinic. Please note that all sales are non-refundable seven days prior to the event. All parties requesting refunds 14 days prior to the event will be refunded 50 percent of the original fee.

How many futsal clinics do you have?Each year, SEMSA runs three futsal clinics and one summer camp. A Winter clinic, Spring clinic, and Fall clinic.

What is Futsal?Futsal is a face-paced version of indoor soccer played on basketball courts. It is usually played 5v5 and consists of smaller goals with no walls to keep the ball in bounds, like traditional indoor. The game is played with a slightly heavier ball, and is usually played on hardwood basketball type floors.

How to work with us?SEMSA Soccer organizations is a 501c3 non-profit. We accept donations and sponsorship from small businesses to large corporations as well as form strategic partnership with prospective collaborators.

Do we offer scholarship?As a 501c3 non-profit organization, SEMSA does offer scholarships to eligible players and participants. Unlike most academies, and clubs, SEMSA structures scholarships with the intent to benefit players after completion of the SEMSA academy. Scholarships are given to players that meet the performance-based criteria and are given post-graduation on a yearly basis. SEMSA provides up to $5,000 in scholarship per player each year a player graduates from the program. Scholarships are not limited to only players currently in the SEMSA program, players can apply for scholarship up to four years post-graduation.

Do you all offer financial aid?We do not offer financial aid. However, we do offer discounts for families going through financial hardships.

What skills will my child develop during training?Players will develop technical skills including but not limited to, ball manipulation, footwork, agility, ball control, and passing. Tactical game play will be taught varying different age groups.

Are the sessions coed?Yes, all out sessions are co-ed.

Are there league games played at SEMSA?No, SEMSA is a skills based training academy focused on developing player's technical abilities.

How are players grouped at the academy?Players are grouped by age and are assigned with a specific coach.

What is the coach to player ratio?The coach to player ratio is 1:10 for every age group.

What are the age requirements for the academy?We take boys and girls ages 5-13. Each player can sign up for any program no matter their age.

If my child is absent from several training sessions, can I get a refund?Program fees are not prorated. If a coach cancels a session or is out, future allotted days will be used as make-ups.

Is the uniform included in the price of the program?A one-time uniform fee is excluded in the price of the program. The fee is $75.00 and includes two uniform kits (jersey, shorts, socks, and soccer bag).

What is the procedure for handling injury or illness?If admitted into the academy, we require all players to show proof of physical, required medical screenings, and health insurance.

Are there restroom facilities at the academy?All parks where sessions will be held will have a restroom.

Are the coaches trained in CPR?We require our coaches to be Safe Sport certified and CPR certified.

Are the coaches required to have a background check?All our coaches are required to have background checks and have been vetted through our hiring process.

What security measures are in place to ensure my child’s safety?We train our coaches to ensure players are safe during sessions to prevent bodily injuries. Coaches are required to report condition of the players, field, and weather conditions before training sessions begin. In addition, we require coaches to do a roster check-in before and after each session.

What happens if there is inclement weather?We allot make-up days for when there is inclement weather. In some cases, session can be held indoor.

Is there a sibling discount if I register a second child?Yes, there is a ten percent discount when parent register siblings.

Are parents allowed to observe the sessions?Yes, parents are allowed to observe sessions.

Is there an installment payment plan?Yes, payments can be submitted monthly. Parents also have the option to pay the entire program fee.

Are players always supervised?Players are always supervised by our trained coaches during sessions. Parents are required to be present during session and are prohibited of leaving players unattended with or without coaches.

What clothing should be worn for tryouts?Players must come to tryouts wearing soccer shorts, cleats, socks, shin guards, and a plain colored or white t-shirt.
